Juliet shares the feelings of love, but worries that Romeo’s feelings might be fleeting. Upon hearing this, Romeo reveals himself and professes his love to Juliet. She wishes he would abandon his name, or that she could abandon hers, so that they could be together. She talks to herself, lamenting Romeo’s nature as a Montague. Juliet appears in a window above Romeo, and she thinks she’s alone. ![]()
